Ever gone to a theater and let in a little to early before the movie starts? Ever wonder on how you would pass the time since you had to leave you Nintendo DS(i) at home because you killed the battery? Well have no fear, the cellular company O2 has something for you. The next time you see a movie in either London, Bristol, Leeds, Manchester and Birmingham your going to be invited to participate in the first ever Cinema Game Experience.
The plot, well yea there is a bit, is you and the entire audience must successfully guide a 3D spaceship through an asteroid belt, while trying to avoid being pelted into smithereens. This is done by having two ceiling mounted camera that watch the audiences hand movements while they stick them in the air to guide the ship.
I feel that as much as this sounds cool, I beg to ask the question what happens if someone doesn’t participate? or what if some people decide to flail their arms, does it cause problems with the people who are actually trying to play this thing? What ever happens I can see this just being the tip of the ice burg that cinemas are trying to do to get people to come pay money to see a film and than pay even more money so they can enjoy a $6 bag of popcorn that only costs $.35 to make.
Check the picks bellow on how this game looks. Look especially at what I am guessing is the Captain, does he not look like Earth Worm Jim?
Look for this to start popping up before 3D movies such as Ice Age 3 3D and Toy Story 3 3D.

Wow, a nice idea :)
Some will be more motivated to go to the theatres. Kids at least i think would like this a lot =)
