Assassin’s Creed 2 Slated for This Year
At the conclusion of a decidedly uninspiring teaser trailer the phrase “HOLIDAYS 2009″ appears. Last time I checked 2009 was the current year. This is good news for those of us who assumed that we would have to wait until 2010 to grab the reigns of another robed assassin. Needless to say I loved the first game, warts and all. I can’t think of a game in recent memory in which the main character was such an acrobatic joy to control (yes, I include Prince of Persia which I thought was a lot of fun). The sword-play was great, the environments were expansive and felt alive, and the variety of missions (small as it was) were fun to partake in.
I know a couple of my compatriots here at eatsleepgeek were unimpressed by Assassin’s Creed the first, as were many others. But from what I’ve gathered about the sequel a lot of the complaints have been heard and addressed. And I mean, come on: Altair was essentially (wall-scaling, stealth) a medieval Batman (who, uh, kills people… moving on) and where else are you going to get an olde timey Batman? Actually, don’t answer that.

I think you missed an important detail, Altair is a medieval Batman, if in medieval times Batman sucked ass because everything he did was boring and repetitive.

You know Chickenbone, if you don’t like the game then that’s fine, but don’t post stupid crap saying it sucks, because quite frankly no one gives a rats ass what you think, so your statement is about as pointless as a second ass hole would be. These forums and posts are meant for people who like the game, not for retards like you to make conjectures about how much you hate the game…way to go genius. Do the world a favor and just kill yourself.

In addition to being one of the guys who created the site, and can post whatever the hell I want (so can anybody; we try and only censor each other at eatsleepgeek) I’d also like to ask if this is the first time you’ve ever used the internet? The very foundation of Al Gore’s creation is the fact that it gives people a place to talk about how much they hate shit.
So while I don’t want you kill yourself, maybe you could take a break from our site and come back and visit us once puberty hits lil’buddy.

AC 1 is my second favourite game of all time.
Despite the repetative storyline, the free running element made it last for ages.
AC 2 could lose this though, as apparently you have a flying machine.
