SENATE OBAMA

Looks like Marvel wasn’t so far off with the comic series Civil War which depicted the idea of the Super Hero Registration Act.  The comic showed the problems superhumans of all types would face if such an act were passed in to law.  Lucky for some of you out there with “mutant” powers (and living in America) your fears of having to resister with a special federal organization was squashed.  As of May 18 2009, the President of the United States, Barack Obama, had vetoed the passing of a Mutant Registration Act (or MRA for short) Monday that would force American citizens with mutant abilities to list name and powers.  This was fallowed by a brief explanation by the President by saying “In the last eight years we have failed to reach out to Americans that who can transform themselves into living steel.”  Sounds like Mr. Obama is reaching out to the smallest minority in the U.S. today , the mutant population.

Just same sex marriage in California, this will not be the last we’ll hear about this.  I’m sure there’s some anti-mutant organization who will try to push this ruling back to the senate even if they have to cause mayhem to do it. They will try to prove how dangerous having mutants living with humans can be.  I’m sure if these Anti-mutant groups had their way, mutants would be living in some kind of camp being patrolled by 60 foot giant walking and talking robots, like a sentinel.  Who knows what may come out of this but I feel that anyone who comes forward about being a mutant will only be met with hatred and disgust, not only that but there will be a rise in mutant beatings across the country.

With this ruling I wonder, what other countries might fallow through with the MRA?
