It looks like Christian Bale should start looking at anger support group in preparation for filming on the next Bat-film next year. The original panel in support of The Book of Eli was overshadowed by a question about the filming of Batman 3 directed at Gary Oldman, (that’s Commissioner Jim Gordon to Bat-fanboys), who confirmed that Batman 3 will film next year, and release in two years, setting up for a Summer 2011 release date. There’s no other casting news or details about the flick, but it won’t be a proper Bat-film without Christian Bale and Christopher Nolan.

This is great news, and should satisfy fanboys until further details are revealed. I’m hoping for a definitive statement or announcement from Christopher Nolan or Christian Bale. Or possibly some casting news. Or a leaked script. At this point, with all the different statements from different actors, I’m not even sure which way is up. If this Bat-news holds true, Summer 2011 will be a summer to remember.
