Chris Nolan making Batman 3? Maybe, Maybe not? Currently, that’s not set in stone, but what is confirmed, is that Christian Bale will be. Oh boy! can’t wait, every time I hear him talk as Batman I feel my throat gets sore, but I think that’s the only problem anyone has with him being Batman. In an earlier interview with a member of Total Film, Christian was quoted as saying “it’s got to be the right story”. Fair enough, although the last time we heard that we ended up with Indiana Jones and the Secrete of the Crystal Skull. Then in July, Entertainment Weekly talked with Mr. Bale only to have him say he couldn’t imagine doing this without Chris Nolan and wouldn’t even want to consider doing another film without him. Again, fair enough, when a movie becomes this successful you want to work with the same people who contributed to that success. This is where things begin to change, looks like Christian has a contractual obligation, that he MUST do a third one wither Nolan is attached to direct at all. So everything that Mr. Bale has said in the beginning about Batman 3, means absolutely nothing, as I do believe the whole rumor mill about the Riddler since there’s currently nothing about the third installment at all.
But don’t fret my fellow Bat-fanatics, WB seems to be holding out for Chris Nolan to wait his decision wither or not to do it, but this will all happen after he finishes up Inception. Although most film companies jump on the “band wagon” after something becomes such a success, it looks like ol’Warner want to actually do this one right and wait patiently for their golden boy Nolan. If that’s the case, I’ll be willing to wait the (maybe) four years it maybe until the third one comes out. We can’t have another Spiderman 3 out there; emo-spidy was a little to much for me, seemed to be going after the wrong market.
What kind of Emo reads Spiderman, really? think about it Sam (Raimi), Emo’s don’t watch action movies about people that have spider powers, they watch movies that have vampires, werewolves, possibly zombies. They sit in a corner all day with either their boyfriend/girlfriend and cut themselves thinking that nobody understands them. The thing is, if nobody understands them why do they all have friends that walk, talk, and look just like each other?
Sorry, went a little off topic, the point is I was trying to get was, WB needs to take their time, make sure everything comes out as delicious and good looking as the picture on the box does. I just hope that WB listens to the Bat-fans on this one and don’t have more than one villain in a Batman film, quantity does not necessarily mean quality.

I agree. I’d rather wait a few years for Nolan to come back and do it right than Warner going ahead without him and leaving a chance for the franchise to get screwed up…oh, and don’t worry about going off on the emo kids…. everyone hates the emo kids.
That was pretty idiotic. Spiderman 3 didn’t strike me as trying to hit a niche market such as “emo kids”. You could say the fact that Spiderman is typically wise cracking and sarcastic and the 3 film interpretation of him as overly dramatic was too heavy handed. But you didn’t. The dance scene was unforgiveable, yes. But small fanboy audience interpretation of the whole transformation as being “emo” is ridiculously stupid. It was a natural (albeit misguided) extension of the characterization from film 1. Might I suggest newjokecliche.com
I think it’s more that when he is infected by the symbiote it changes his personality and Peter Parker starts brooding…sort of like an emo kid. I don’t think anybody would be “ridiculously stupid” enough to say that Peter Parker turns emo in the third movie, I think that they just noticed that when the symbiote was altering his personality he started acting a little emo. As far as natural (albeit misguided) extensions from film 1 goes. I’m not entirely sure what that means but it sounds super cool, you’re obviously smarter than me so I’ll just take your word for it. Keep up the good work champ.
