bioshock 2 big sister Big Daddy Day Care: Adopt a Little Sister In Bioshock 2Some details on the much-anticipated Bioshock 2 were revealed in a recently released E3 Gamespot interview with Executive Producer Alyssa Finley. Bioshock 2 will see players take on the role of Big Daddy 10 years after the first game. You’ll have to use all your abilities as a Big Daddy, along with any plasmids you might encounter confront the enigmatic Big Sister. The return to Rapture will include scalable plasmids and the combination of plasmids. One example suggested by Finley was a vortex-incineration combo. Getting the ADAM to fuel the plasmids will have the player faced with a familiar choice: harvest the Little Sisters immediately, or adopt a Little Sister, both yielding different amounts of ADAM. The introduction of multiplayer bring players into Rapture a year before the events of the first game as ordinary civilians testing out weaponry. The Big Daddy will make an appearance in the mulitplayer as well. If players are fortunate enough to find the suit, they’ll be kicking ass as a Big Daddy as they take on others in the multiplayer.

As more details are revealed about Bioshock 2, I become less skeptical about a return to Rapture. As much as I would like to see a new IP from 2K games, I can’t help but be excited about reprising a role as Big Daddy. The first game was an engaging experience and a great single-player experience; discovering the story behind Rapture was just as interesting as tackling a Big Daddy. I even enjoyed the tedious moments while hacking machines. At the same time, story fueled the first Bioshock, and I’m not yet sure about the story in the sequel. Regardless, I’m looking forward to revisiting Rapture. Even if it is only because I’m subconsciously conditioned to revisit Rapture.
