Several weeks ago Cool Terry, the comic editor at eatsleepgeek.com did a review of a book called The Way of Shadows.  None of us had heard of the book, or it’s author Brent Weeks prior to Terry’s review, and even he’ll admit he picked up the book for no real reason other than he thought the cover was cool.  Well the reader response to Terry’s review was huge, none of us could believe how many of you checked out his thoughts about The Way of Shadows, and hopefully some of you went out and picked the book up.  I know I did, and without getting into a full blown review would just like to say that I haven’t enjoyed a fantasy novel that much in a long time.  If you didn’t see Terry’s review the first time it was up I would just like to reiterate that this is a fantastic novel and strongly suggest that you go pick it up and give it a go.

To follow up on Terry’s initial review today on his site Brent Weeks announced that his book has been shortlisted for the David Gemmell Legend Award for fantasy.  If you’ve read the book and would like to vote for Brent head over here and give him a click.
