x men 3 the last stand Brett Ratner Done With X Men
MTV Splashpage is reporting that Brett Ratner, the man who brought us the only X-Men movie in the trilogy not worth the price of admission is done with the franchise. In his own words Ratner told MTV that “The thing with the ‘X-Men’ universe is, I feel like I’ve already done it”. I’d just like to add that not only has he done it already, he’s done it against it’s will, in the back of a shitty pickup truck, and without lube. In a world where comic movies featuring superheroes had become synonymous with disappointment Brett Ratner took the one franchise that taught us things didn’t have to be that way and made a terrible movie that spawned an even worse spin off. So while I’m elated to hear that as a filmmaker Ratner thinks he’s moved past the X-Men he went on to reveal a bit more info that wasn’t such great news. Apparently that while making a good X Men movie (or even one that’s not god awful) might not be worth his time, screwing up X-Men: First Class or X-Men Origins:Magneto would be projects he’s interested in. Oh yeah, he also thinks a Deadpool movie would be hit or miss, I’m beginning to think he may have never actually read a comic book. Personally I’d like to see Brett Ratner directing the G-Force sequel I think that he might be able to make that work, and I think he might have some gerbils stashed away somewhere.
