Hello again It is I Cool Terry bringing you another look into the comics I have been reading this week .  Since I was short on funds (being a comic critic extraordinaire is an important job but the pay sucks ass)  I bought very little this time around. So without further delay here is the Second Best thing Cool Terry pulled this week.

buckrogers4 300x225 The Second Best Thing Cool Terry Pulled This WeekFirst up we have Buck Rogers # 4 The 4th issue has Buck hiding out on Mars from the creatures hunting him and his companion (turns out she is related to his Ex back on earth in his our time) while the Earth Protectorate figures out how to adapt his gravity drive for their own use (that use being saving Buck and Colonel Derring) and ends with Buck being drafted into the Protectorate to help save earth and it’s people. While this seems like a standard story (and it is) it’s still been fun enough to keep me buying it. It is a fun space story being retold and one you should not be missing (I mean come on anytime animals with guns are attack planet it’s worth a look especially when you find out who’s fault it is) the art is solid, nothing great here but soild (or maybe it just doesn’t stand out compared to the others I have read this week). Anyways I’m giving Buck a solid 7 this time around

Blackest Night - Superman _2

Next we have Blackest Night Superman # 2 now the first issue didn’t impress me all that much (I think I’m just tired of watching superman be a pussy) the second issue is better (even though superman is still a pussy) this issue gives you Supergirl fighting her dead father, Superman fighting earth 2 Superman (and still trying to talk him out of fighting) the return of Psycho Pirate (who corrupts the town and Superboy) and Ma Kent taking a stand against the dead version of Lois lane (at least she knows when to stop talking and start fighting) as with all the blackest nights (at least so far) you have really nice looking art (I love the way the Black Lanterns look) so with one issue left in this mini series I’m really not sure what to expect in the last issue. Here’s to  hoping Supes steps it up and starts really dishing it out instead of looking for a way to talk earth 2 Superman out of fighting. 7.5 out of 10

120 wolverine old man logan giant size 1 197x300 The Second Best Thing Cool Terry Pulled This Weeklast we have Mark Millar’s Wolverine Old Man Logan Giant Size this is the concluding story to Wolverine 66-72 ( the old man Logan arc) now for those of you who didn’t read this… your loss assbag (buy it in trade) for those of you who did enjoy the ending, the story is the villains of the world teamed up and took down all the heroes then carved up America and gave it to there 4 generals, years later we have Logan living out his life farming a wasteland with his family (he has vowed never to pop his claws again) when he can’t pay rent Banner’s boys show up and put a beating on the former hero, hawkeye shows up and offers a job Logan accepts off they go this ends with the death of the red skull and Logan off home with enough money to pay off the Banner’s but when he gets home his family is all dead, and here is where the giant size issue picks up and we get to see what Wolverine does best (in this case it’s rip apart the inbred hulks that are the Banner family) so many death later we get the end battle with between Bruce Banner (the Hulk) and Wolverine (always nice to go back to the beginning). An awesome arc with some nice throw backs if you spot them and a good ending to the arc with this last issue and on top of that you have some great looking art by Steve McNiven. So this is getting a 8.5 out of 10

This is cool Terry reminding you
