Well here it is better late then never I guess, so since it’s so late I’m going to talk about some of the stuff I have read in the last couple of weeks. This should have been up sooner but between working up north and packing all of my meagre belongings up for the move out of my current place, I haven’t had the time to really sit down and write anything. So here it is The second best thing I have pulled in the last couple of weeks.

die hardFirst we are going to go with Die Hard Year One issue 1. As the title suggests, this takes place at the beginning of John McClane career where he is still just a beat cop (a bad-ass beat cop, but still just a beat cop) now we don’t get a whole lot from the first issue more of a set up (like a movie) what we see is a little of McClane kicking ass, some crooks setting up a deal with a couple of crooked cops and those same cops killing a guy in a back alley then witnessed by Rosie, a girl in the wrong place at the wrong time. So while there isn’t anything new going on here let’s face it; you’r e gonna buy this because John McClane kicks ass. Either your a Die Hard fan or you suck ; end of story. You know it’s gonna be awesome just because it’s Die Hard. So go buy this before I throw you out a widow. Yippee-ki-yay, motherfucker.

Next we have the latest issue (#608) of The Amazing Spider-Man just in general since #600 I’ve 104 spider man the clone saga 1 197x300 The Second Best Thing Cool Terry Pulled This Week1 AMAZING SPIDER MAN 608 197x300 The Second Best Thing Cool Terry Pulled This Weekloved all the comics we are getting some throwback villains and characters with promises of more to come we’ve already seen Doc Ock and the Chameleon, as well as the return Of MJ and the Black Cat. And now we are touching on Ben Reilly’s past (you know Peter’s dead clone). Speaking of clones, as a side note, if you haven’t already heard, writers Tom DeFalco and Howard Mackie (both of which worked on the original clone saga) have teamed up to write a 6 part mini-series, and in Tom’s words ,tell the story the way it should have been told. So for those of you who remember the Clone saga and those who don’t or for those not yet reading comics pick this up and get a look at what was one of, if not the most controversial comic book storylines of all time. Now back to Spider-Man 608 this issue continues with the clone theme as a former friend of Ben Reilly shows up and accuses Peter of not only being Ben Reilly but of burning his family alive (Pete really hasn’t been able to catch a break in awhile which makes for some great reading) I highly recommend picking up the back issues of this title if you even remotely  like spider-man it will be worth it. Remember: with great power comes great responsibility, and your responsibility is to pick up this comic.

15 daredevil 501 197x300 The Second Best Thing Cool Terry Pulled This Week

Daredevil 501 has hit shelves and it would look like our favorite devil has taken a step towards the darker side of life with the whole world upside down (Norman Osborn running things). Daredevil take his final step towards becoming the leader of the Hand (that would be a group of ninja assassins) by killing an innocent; in this case it’s the life of a blind martial arts master (who we were lead to believe was immortal). Now, as the new leader of the hand Daredevil is going to use his new army to take back his city, although it looks like he might have to contend with the Kingpin as well as Norman  Osborn, since he’s back and looking to set up shop. This is looking like a lot more darker Daredevil then we are used to, but it’s making for a great read. So if you haven’t picked up a Daredevil title in awhile, go find yourself a copy of Daredevil 500 and start reading; it will give you a pretty good idea whats happening in his world then you can pick up 501. It’s worth it. Really it is.

Last I bring you Batman and Robin # 5 for a title that at first I took a shit on, and is fast becoming batman robin 5one of my favorite titles, and one I look forward to buying every month. This issue we get to see the Red Hood and his partner Scarlet once again get the better of Batman and Robin, which I figure has got to be pissing off Damian a lot. Now it looks like (to me at least) that this comic is going to feature some sick criminals (like Pyg wasn’t sick enough) now readers are treated to the king of killers The Flamingo, who cuts off peoples faces and then eats them. Now that is really fucked up. It seems that while Bruce is away the sickos come out to play. This run of whack jobs gives this comic a different feel then a regular Batman title, because up till now most of Batman’s foes have been crazy. not sick and demented. This is a nice change of pace and makes this feel like this comic is standing on it’s own, and not just some filler until Bruce Wayne comes back and becomes Batman again. A great series so far, one any Batman fan should be reading.

So that’s it for now hope this helps you in some way and remember
