Amidst a flurry of additions to the Heroes lineup for the fall season (Deanne Bray,Robert Knepper and Madeleine Zima) there’s been one more addition that geeks everywhere will recognize. In the world of geekdom there’s simply no escaping Ray Park; the Scottish born actor has played Darth Maul in Star Wars Episode One:The Phantom Menace, Toad in the first X-Men movie, and hits screens again this summer when he takes on the role of fanboy favorite Snake Eyes in one of the summer’s most anticipated releases, GI Joe:The Rise of Cobra. Hold on to your hats for this, Park also had the audacity to play Chuck Norris (Ghasp!!) in the TV series, The Legend of Bruce Lee. Ray better hope Chuck signed off on that or he could be in for a world of hurt when he least expects it.
No word on the deatils of Park’s character in Heroes, but Entertainment Weekly is suggesting that he will be part of a subplot that involves a traveling circus. If his previous movie credits are any indication my guess is that Park will play the strong silent type, and almost certainly bust out some Kung Fu moves.
In unrelated news Ray Parker Jr will not be doing the theme song for Heroes this fall, he will also not be doing any Kung Fu.
