diehard1 243x300 Die Hard:Year One, A Prequel?
This is almost like a 3 for one deal. Boom! Studios is doing a comic prequel to Die Hard, and they’ve come up with the uber original name Die Hard: Year One. That’s not where the 3 for one deal comes in though. The first freebie is new Die Hard stuff. That’s always appreciated. John McClane is bad ass and any new McClane, is good McClane. The second freebie is that Boom! is working with Bruce Willis so his likeness will be immortalized forever in comics, and we won’t get a vague likeness to Willis that’s mostly shadow and silhouette. The third and biggest bonus is that the next entry in the Die Hard saga won’t have Justin Long, which is fantastic. That numskull should stick to Mac commercials because at least I can Tivo through them.

The story takes place in 1976 so you can expect Willis to be sporting more hair than you’ve seen on the top of his head since Moonlighting. The story takes place at a bicentennial celebration that comes under attack. I’m pretty sure John McClane can take whatever the 70’s can throw his way. There was no word when the comic would be released.
