Another week another review and this week it’s all DC try as I might to find some  other comic to write about Blackest night is just to good so you now have to listen to my rambling about nothing but DC comics this week.

RROB Cv4 dsFirst up Red Robin # 4 I have to say that Chris Yost is doing a fantastic job on this book and if you’re not reading it then shame on you. So the rundown is as follows: Tim continues his search for clues as to Bruce’s whereabouts and finally sees some vindication at the end of this comic; just before he takes a sword to the stomach (not the way I would celebrate the moment but that’s just me). As well, through out this issue we get flash backs of Tim and Dick (in the Red Robin and Batman costumes) where we a privy to a private conversations between Gotham City’s go to guys in tights and the ensuing argument; finally as always seems to be the case when capes get worked up, blows are exchanged(not that blow exchange you pervert, punches). The comic ends with the aforementioned gut wound and Tim bleeding out in the middle of the desert, it looks like Tim has a new foe to deal with and a highly skilled one at that (being as he took down 3 assassins and Tim down without taking a scratch. So this ones getting 7.5 bat wall carvings out of 10

blackest night batman 2 200x300 Another Edition Of The Second Best Thing Cool Terry Pulled This Week.

Next we have Blackest Night Batman # 2.  So what does this issue give you lets see you get to see Barbara Gordon in action (with the assistance of Deadman) a blood spattered Jim Gordon wielding a shotgun,we get to see Batman and Robin take on the walking dead with flame throwers,  and throw in a save by Red Robin and you have one hell of a comic (I mean really the only thing worse than a walking talking corpse is one that’s walking talking and on fire). Not to mention you get a great ending with the return of both Tim’s  and Dick’s parents ( all things considered looking pretty good for being rotting corpses) so we know the third and finally issue of this story is going to be good ( I mean how in the hell are you suppose to fight the animated corpses of you parents that’s got to fuck with you just a bit) so pick this up pick it up now I tell you. 8 out of 10 flaming corpses

300px Green Lantern Corps Vol 2 39 193x300 Another Edition Of The Second Best Thing Cool Terry Pulled This Week.Last but not least we have issues 39 and 40 of  Blackest Night Green Lantern Corps. Peter Tomasi (who also did Batman) is doing a hell of a job in these two issues,  we see the Lanterns (Kyle Rayner and my second favorite lantern Guy Gardner) on their way back to OA when they encounter the Black rings. We also get to see the resurrection of all the Green Lanterns who have ever fallen and  the return of Kyle’s love (or one of his loves at least).  Most importantly though, we learn what to do when faced with the return of your dead girlfriend, in case you’re dumb enough to skip Blackest Night I’ll go ahead and tell you that  the correct response  is to blast her in the face with your power ring a couple of times (you know that sounds way more dirty then it really is).  We also bear witness to the only thing Guy can really do right, and that’s kick ass. These 2 issues are just one big cosmic free for all battle royal which makes for some really great looking scenes, hell we even get a karate kid reference (how awesome is that ). I know in my first look at blackest night I was unimpressed and expected more well this was the stuff I was waiting for a really good read with great looking scenes. This is  most definitely worth picking up 8.5 of 10 blasts to the face by a power ring

This is cool Terry reminding you as always
