Sometimes there is an idea so ground breaking that it changes the very ground we walk on, other ideas change the air we breathe, and then there are some ideas out there that make you just want to shake your head and sigh “….why?”. The last time I checked my calendar which was all of five minutes ago it was still June and since it’s June it’s time for another fun filled Gadgets and Gizmos post. I will be giving you another five little ideas that may thrill you in ways wearing a sexy apron may not, or it may depending if you like doing that. Either way though I’m happy to introduse you to these five new items:

1) The Microwave Potato Chip Maker

Is there ever a bad time for potato chips? No there isn’t, but there are times where you may want to eat a little bit healthier (yea Right!). All you do is take your favorite potato, with or without skin, and rub it up against the top of the supplied container. On the top of the container sits a sharp blade which will give you exact same size cut every time. Soon when you potato is all cut up along with a finger or two, you take the pieces and place them within the plastic cooker, pop it in the microwave and after a few minutes your done. All you need to to bring to the table are a few potatoes and if you want to give them a bit of flavor might I suggest using seasoning for popcorn. This is such a great idea you can even make some at the office.

2) R2D2 Star Wars Pez Dispenser USB Flash Drive (Boy that was a mouth full)

That’r right another best of both ….well lets make that three worlds have collided. Sure everyone always needs more flash drives, can’t get enough of R2D2, and enjoys eating a Pez candy once and a while, but now we can do that all at the same time. Sure the powder from the candy might get into your ports causing shorts and voiding the warranty but who cares, you have R2 on the top while holding a whole whopping 2 GB of memory. Mmm……on second thought you should just leave this one alone cause I don’t know about you but having a Pez dispenser that’s only able to hold 3 mouth watering pieces just doesn’t do it for me.

3) The Motion Activated Garden Sentry.

What home owner likes their garden from being torn up or enjoys having their garbage attacked by pesky vermin? That’s exactly, why Hammacher Schlemmer have introduced the Motion Activated Garden Sentry. What it does is when an animal like a raccoon or deer walks past the sensor the device, just like some lawn sprinklers out there, it sends a stream of compressed water towards the target making sure they don’t come back. The only down side is that you have to hook it up to a garden hose and install a 9volt battery for it to work. Probably the most useful gadget so far.

4) TRANSFORMERS Movie 2: REVENGE OF THE FALLEN – BUMBLEBEE Voice Mixer.

Yes. This is cool, but totally pointless. Just like the Optimus Prime mask from Transformers we are introduced to a product that more or less looks like the intended character it was copied off of. The great thing about this battery operated device is that it COMES with the batteries. 3 “AA”’s to be exact. So when you’re trying to pretend that you’re buying this for your younger brother you don’t have to be all embarrassed and have to come back to buy the batteries.

5) Anti-Stab Knife

From the R&D desk of New Point Knives comes one of the best ideas ever in knife technology. Due to an apparent problem with long bladed knives, doctors were issuing a warning stating that they were a ‘weapon of choice in a high proportion of serious stabbings’ and the very real fear of having these instruments banned from kitchens everywhere definitely wasn’t the answer.
