Hello my friends and welcome to Cool Terry’s pull list, due to some issues (most of them my fault) I’m skipping a post to bring you last weeks comics. I know I said I would do better then I go and pull this shit on you.  I’ll try not to let it happen again. Anyways here is some of what made my list last week.

So I’ll start with Deadpool Suicide Kings # 5 of 5. So to recap for those of you who haven’t been reading this title (shame on you) Deadpool was accused of killing a bunch of civilians (he was framed folks) and because of this our pal Wade (that’s Deadpool’s real name for those of you who didn’t know) is then hunted down by the Punisher, Daredevil and Spider-man (not a good time to be the Merc with the Mouth)  all because of a bet made between a rich kid and the gangster Tombstone, who decided that to ensure he wins said bet has hired The Wrecking Crew to finish off Deadpool. So what do you get in the final issue? Aa Spider-man Deadpool team-up with a save by the Punisher (in his most ridiculous costume yet) and for a change Deadpool actually gets paid and gets a happy ending (Damn for a guy with such a fugly face he sure hooks up with some hot chicks) anyways if you haven’t been reading this go buy it when it hits the trades for the rest enjoy the final issue. So to give it a number grade I’d say 8.5 out of 10 severed heads.

Next Up Daredevil 500 OK here we go kiddies number 500 (man it’s been a big year for marvel) well this is the long and the short of it. The Hand (a evil group of ninja assassins) is in the market for a new leader and they had wanted Daredevil (who had already turned them down once) also hanging around is a old blind man named Izo who has been stalking DD since his accident that took away his sight years ago and looks like he was the one who set up the meeting between the man known as Stick and Matt Murdock. Now Izo wants DD to take over the Hand and change them from the inside. So what we have here is DD tying up the loose ends of his life as he looks to take over the Hand before the Kingpin and Lady Bullseye can. As with the other Marvel comics that had reached milestone markers we are treated with  pin up pages and a reprint of a old DD comic. As well as a new story (it’s short folks) set in DD past and a preview for Dark Reign: The List which is where Norman tells Bullseye that he wants DD dead (nothings more fun then watching DD beat up Bullseye). So once again Ed Brubaker has written something that I have really enjoyed to the point where it will now be a regular on my pull list (if this keeps up I’m gonna go broke).  8 out 0f 10 Billy Clubs.

Last up this week we have Blackest Night Superman # 1 of 3 Now I’ll admit there are a couple of moments that I really liked in this book but over all I was not impressed. For those of you not aware Conner Kent (Superboy) is back from the dead and living in Smallville where Clark Kent (Superman) visits him, during dinner both Superboy and Superman take off to the graveyard where Kal-L is buried (that’s Earth 2 Superman or Golden Age Superman if you prefer) and then get owned by him. The best part of this book is when Earth 2 Superman taunts Clark Kent Superman but still I was expecting something a little better from this title. With all the changes in the Superman world like  New Krypton being brought into existence and chocked full of Kryptonians, and the return of  Superboy I felt this should of been better.   I expected more from James Robinson who also writes the Cry for Justice series which is a great book, I haven’t given up on the series yet though,  I’m hoping 2 and 3 are better and it was still a better book the Adventure Comics 1 relaunch that was just a waste of 4 dollars.   So when all is said and done I’m giving this one  6 out of 10 punches in the face from Batman’s Kryptonite shard ring, only because Earth 2 Superman is awesome ( I’m really tied of watching the other Superman look like a chump all the time).
