For those of us that grew up with Batman: The Animated Series and had a thing for the bad girls there was one name synonymous with awkward teenage lust. No, not Catwoman. Poison Ivy? No. Alright, there were a few names, but the one that is relevant right now is Harley Quinn.
The creation of Paul Dini and Bruce Timm, specifically for the series, she was the female counter-part of the Joker himself. She wasn’t quite as crazy but she could swing a mean hammer. All while spouting off in a Judy Holliday voice (with a Jayne Mansfield body). Anyone interested in the character should probably just pick up Mad Love. That is if you can drop between forty and eighty bucks on a comic. While we’re on the subject of comic books, Brian Azzarello’s take on the Joker is a really entertaining read. The art is provided by Lee Bermejo, who is well known for his Hellblazer covers and is a regular Azzarello collaborator. I know at least one other blogger here enjoyed it.
Anyways, I’ve enjoyed most things having to do with the clown prince of crime and Harley Quinn is no exception. I hope she takes a more active role in Batman: Arkham Asylum than just a boss for one stinking level.
You can check out the short trailer (which I’m pretty sure is game engine)

Thank you very good
Is Christian Bale carrying on in the next Batman release?
