Heroes : Chapter 3, Acceptance

Tracy:
Since there is no one after Tracy any more; ie: Danko, she decides that she wants to back into what she knows and loves, politics. To achieve this she meets up with the governor who is more than willing to accept her back and wants her to assume her old role. Tracy is delighted that things are going to go back to “normal” but she feels something is amiss, so she goes and visits Noah for advice. Noah is found sitting in a Chinese restaurant that is located under his apartment. Tracy tells him how happy she is that she has her old job back but feels that something is out of place, that she should be doing more than just helping herself. Noah tells her that over the course of everything that has happened things change, and that now she should look at herself and see if this is really what she wants. With that in mind Tracy sets out to visit the governor once again. During dinner Tracy tell him that she doesn’t want her old job back but instead she wants more, she actually WANTS to help people, people who can’t help themselves. While the governor thinks this is all rubbish and doesn’t help him politically at all, he tries to convince Tracy that they should go back to their old habits. Tracy is disgusted by his feeble attempts at trying to bring her back to his hotel room and decides that if she is going to want to help anyone she is going to have to do this all on her own. So she leaves the governor is disgust and walks away.

Hiro/Ando:
Shortly after bring Ando and his sister together, Hiro’s sister,  Kimiko, takes Hiro to the side to discuss a little matter of the two of them being the last members of the Nakamura family, and because of this she asks him if he would do her the honor of giveing her away at their wedding. With extreme excitement Hiro agrees and goes to tell Ando on how happy he is for the two of them. Ando begins to worry and wished that Kimiko hadn’t asked Hiro so soon; with Hiro’s current problem he’s worried that his partner in crime (fighting) may not live long enough to see the wedding. Just then out of the blue the team get another phone call, this time it is from a man who wishes to jump off of the roof of the Nakamura building. Without a moment to spare Hiro rushes up to the top of the roof where he encounters a man by the name of Tadashi. Tadashi explanes that he actually didn’t want anyone to save him, in fact he only called to get a witness and have him tell his side of the story before he plummeted to his death. Hiro hears him out, and finds out that the reason Tadashi wants to jump was one night at a company party he got real drunk and decided to photocopy his butt. He was caught and fired. He place dishonor to his family and couldn’t bare to tell them that he had been out of work for months. To correct the problem, it would be better to kill himself than to live on in disgrace. Just like that Tadashi jumps, Hiro is quick to think and jumps back in time to make sure the photocopying accident never takes place. Hiro gets back just in time to hear the phone at Dial-A-Hero ring. He picks up the phone and gets the same man on the line, Tadashi, who is about to jump off the building. Hiro races back up to him to confront him to let him know that the office party incident never happened. Tasashi becomes confused and has no idea what Hiro is talking about, he never went to the company party instead he went to the Emperors birthday and did the same thing resulting in the same outcome. Hiro being the hero he believed he always, uses his powers again and jumps back into time to correct the problem. Hiro comes back at the same time he did before and gets the same call from the same man  Up Hiro goes to find the same man in the same spot about to up off because of some silly prank he decided to do. Fearing that no matter what he does, this man is destined to copy his butt and get fired, Hiro tries a different tactic, talking to him.  While discussing the faults Tadashi had done, Hiro tells him that this is not the answer, that he should go out and tell him family, never keep anything from them, and then learn from his experience and move on. Tadashi reconsiders his plan to jump and soon leaves to go home and face his family. Hiro decides as well that there is no point on keeping his health status to himself and Ando but to also lets his sister know. When Hiro gets back to the office he pulls his sister to the side and tells her that there is much to tell because he doesn’t have long to live.

Nathan:
While sitting in his office, Angela, Peter and Nathan’s mother comes to visit. She decides to bring a box of articles that used to belong to Nathan after he told her that he felt like he was living someone else’s life. Knowing about his powers where if he touch something he can read the history of the object, Angela starts to pull out items for him to read. Out of the box comes a hat that once Nathan touched it brought about a memory of a death of a girl he knew years ago. Getting completely freaked out about all these new power he has Nathan finally tracks down Peter on the job and asks him if he is able to take five minutes out of his busy schedule to they can talk. They sneak away where Nathan soon shows some of his powers he had stumbled upon. He also asks Peter if he remembers a girl by the name of Kelly Houston because he had a vision of her not running away like everyone else thought had happened . Trying to get to the bottom of this, Nathan shows up at the old Houston residence where her mother still lives. Nathan gets to talking with Mrs. Houston and soon brings up her daughter Kelly and seeing if she had ever heard from her at all over the years since she “left”. Mrs. Houston informs him that she hadn’t and so Nathan digs deeper by asking if she had ever assumed that Kelly didn’t really run away. Mrs. Houston soon revels that she had some speculation that her daughter may have been killed and even had a private investigator follow him being that they were romantically involved. But in the end Nathan was innocent when records shows that Kelly bought a one way ticket with her credit card and that some of her luggage and cloths were gone. With the new found power Nathan decides to try to read some things in the back yard where the death seem to take place. There he finally got his answer, it turns out they had a few to many drinks and decided to go for a swim in the pool where Kelly slipped off the diving board and cracked her head open on the edge of the pool. Nathan goes back to visit his mother, knowing damn well that she had some answers for him. She confesses that she covered up for Nathan, that she bought the plane ticket, packed her bags and got rid of her body. She even brought the Haitian in on this to wipe out his memory just to make sure he couldn’t remember anything that happened that night. Angela knew that if anyone saw the scene, that it would be hard to convince anyone that Nathan actually didn’t kill her. Wanting to do the right thing he goes back to Mrs. Houston’s house to confess that Kelly didn’t run away but instead she was dead and that his family covered it up. Not wanting to believe the story that Nathan is telling her, she tells him to leave. Nathan drives back to the office where he tries to call homicide, but decides against it. While exiting his car he gets stabbed in the neck with a needle from behind and is taken for a ride in the back of a trunk. While out in the middle of nowhere, the man that had taken Nathan dumps him out, shoots him and buries him. Turns out that Mrs. Houston put out a hit on Nathan shortly after his second encounter with her. This is not the end, oh no, but what soon emerges out of the ground is not Nathan but Sylar.

Noah:
While in the middle of reading a news paper and enjoying a bowl of cereal, Noah gets a call from a friend,  Peter Petrelli. Peter rushes in to show Noah about the strange tattoo compass he discovered on his arm. Peter rolls up his sleeves to reveal that the compass is no longer there. Noah jumps all over Peter telling him that he is no longer going to go hunting around for a mystery, trying to track down some undercover operation. Peter is saddened that he isn’t willing to help and decides to leave where he bumps into Claire who just came by to spend some time with her father. Claire gets on her fathers case about how he has nothing to do but to sit around and either eat cereal or order Chinese. She tells him about maybe looking for a new job, maybe something in the same field as he was in before while he was working at the paper company, like sales. Reminding Claire that he never worked for a paper company, that it was all a cover for his true job, Claire tell him that she is fully aware of that but doesn’t care and soon finds a perfect job for him in the lumber industry. While trying to have a bit of fun Claire tries to prep her father in the type of questions they might ask at a job interview so he’s not so nervous when he applies for the position. While probing for answers to the questions Claire is making up right on the spot Noah confesses that he felt that through out his career that he had actually never actually helped anyone. Claire re-assures that he did help one person, her. Later on Noah goes back to his favorite Chinese food restaurant under his apartment where he comes in contact with Tracy. After the discussion with Tracy, Noah seems to have a change of heart, and soon decides to help Peter out by going on the hunt of the mysterious compass.

Samuel:
Lydia and Edgar begin to talk about the future of the family, worried that Samuel isn’t bringing in enough people to join, that he could be bringing in more if his brother was still alive. Samuel over hears them talking and informs then that since his brother is dead, that is is up to him now and he can take the family in the direction he sees fit. He take Lydia away and injects her with some ink so she may show him his next target. She shows him the face of Noah, Samuel is confused, why would she be showing him Noah? he is no longer about his old ways. She informs him that maybe he has changed so Samuel makes him his next target.

Predictions:
- Since the little talk with his daughter Claire, Noah is going to help Peter track down and find out the mystery around the compass. Something tells me he already knows a great deal about it.
- While his time is short Hiro is going to continue to jump back to the past to try to help people, but soon will change the present situation between Ando and his sister which will end the plans for them to get married.
