Are You Ready For Jurassic Park 4?

1993, we saw a movie unlike any we had before. Not only was it about dinosaurs which had been done before but the way we got to see them. This was the first time ever C.G. (Computer Graphics) were ever used to tell a story about people being trapped on an island full if dinosaurs. Sure this move was going to be the biggest hit of the year and you couldn’t go anywhere without seeing the image of a bony T-Rex encased in his round prison. Even McDonald’s was in cahoots with Universal and sold what they called “Dino-fries” basically potato wedgies in a large tub. Remember this was before the Trans-Fat scare. After every kind of merchandise was sold under the JP logo. Universal thought it was time to create a sequel. Taking even less material from Michael Cricton’s second book, Universal set out to try to out due itself once again, but failed. The problem was the last third of the film where the T-Rex escapes a cargo ship and runs as free as a jay bird in down town San Diego. There was nothing truly different here, all they did was copy an idea that had been used in Japan since the 50’s from a little movie called Godzilla, I know I haven’t heard it at all either. Sure people ate it up like candy and sure the dino’s were even cooler but what now? We wait for a few years and have Jurassic Park 3. By this time people were getting tired of dinosaurs, and each movie tried to out due itself, tried to being something fresh for the audience, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade it was not. This time it wasn’t directed by Spielberg like the other two and one could see the film try to be something that it was not. Sure this was the worst one in the series and so much time happened between the characters since we last saw them that people just didn’t care any longer.
Well up to a couple of years ago this was about to change. Steven Spielberg wanted a Jurassic Park 4 to be made, sure again he wasn’t going to direct just produce as he did in the third. Sure this would only work if they decided to scrap all that had been done with the previous movies and to introduce a new set of people running for their lives from the jaws of a velociraptor. Since the untimely death of Michael Crichton, Spielberg had said he would almost never do it now. Well never say never, it’s not like Michael Crichton had and part in any of the movies, why should his death matter? I say they should make it, do something a little different. I discovered this little video clip, spliced together from the other Jurassic Park movies. It’s a little different of a direction they were trying to go but it just might get people interested in dinosaurs again. Watch and enjoy, and don’t tell me you wouldn’t want to watch a Jurassic Park movies like this.
