Take this with a grain of salt; it’s one of those casting rumors that everybody puts out there but nobody knows where it came from originally so more than likely it’s something some dude with a blog thought would be a good idea. Anyways with that disclaimer out of the way several sites around the internet are saying that Nestor Carbonell will play Khan in the inevitable sequel to JJ Abrams summer blockbuster Star Trek.

At first glance I didn’t know who the hell Nestor Carbonell was but thought that it would be a great idea based solely on my long held belief that the name Nestor isn’t used enough and a little affirmative action is needed to put guys named Nestor in prominent places where people will take note of them. A quick trip over to IMDB though quickly brought to light that Nestor Carbonell is really Richard from Lost (I might have that backwards). The resemblance is really striking. Of course nobody really even knows if Khan will be in the next Star Trek so don’t take this to the bank quite yet.
