The Left 4 Dead 2 demo is now available to all Xbox Live Gold members that couldn’t be  bothered to pre-order the game. The fast and furious co-operative gameplay of last year’s hit title returns with a few new tricks and a new setting. At 1.6 gb, the Left 4 Dead 2 demo will bring new players into the fold quickly.

Players are treated with access to “The Parish” campaign, offering zombie-killing in the historic French Quarter of New Orleans. Guided by the new AI Director 2.0, players will encounter changes in weather and world objects, as well as pathways.

The road ahead will be tough, but the new melee weapons should assist players in zombie apocalypse survival. It’s a well-known fact that chainsaws and baseball bats are the only known natural predators of the wild zombie. Left 4 Dead 2 will be available on November 20, so consider this the practice scrimmage.
