Tame the Dragon: Maxim Searches Dragon Con for the Hottest Cosplay
The secret about uberhot cosplay is out and even Maxim has begun to take notice. Cosplay is most easily described as a costumed depiction of a pop culture figure; think Darth Vader and Spock and not Benjamin Franklin and Abraham Lincoln. Maxim was on hand at this year’s Dragon Con, ready to visually capture the moment, targeting the higher spectrum of cosplay participants in a recent post on the online portion of the ubiquitous Men’s magazine. Girls of Dragon Con, a two-part gallery (part 1 and part 2) dedicated to the stuff of fanboy’s wet dreams, featured a variety of fan favorites, including Psylocke and Phoenix from the X-Men (unfortunately, no Emma Frost), a vintage Silk Spectre, and even a Stephanie Brown Robin (you`ll forget all about Dick Grayson and Tim Drake). These costumes often take dozens of hours to complete, and a dedication to detail and accuracy often reserved for a period film. It is the duty of fellow geeks to take some time to appreciate the hard work and dedication of these attractive young women. Here a few highlights:
