If you missed out on last night’s Spike Video Game Awards like I did, chances are your kicking yourself for missing out on the latest trailers for the most wanted games of 2010 and beyond. The Spike VGAs included the world-exclusive debut of trailers for the next title for Mircosoft’s workhorse franchise, Halo: Reach, and also the return to the fold for EA black sheep, Medal of Honor. However for the comic fans around the world popped a collective nerd-boner at the debut of a teaser for a new Batman game from Batman: Arkham Asylum developer Rocksteady. And this time around, it looks like we’re headed for Gotham. As geek representative for eatsleepgeek.com, I think I speak for the folks at Eat Sleep Geek when I say `Ho-lee Nerdgasm, Batman`! The prospect of cracking skulls in a darkened alley, set to the soundtrack of falling rain and thunder is enough to put Cool Terry in a coma. Needless to say, we’ll be keeping tabs on this new Batman game. In the meantime, checkout the teaser trailer and imagine the possibilities.

Ooooh, very awesome. I guess I should take this as a hint to finally break open my copy of the first game!

Rocksteady has finally accomplished with Batman: Arkham Asylum the goal of other Batman Game developer: make a Batman game that is fun and captures the feel of the character. Yeah, you might want to play around with the game a little. Just for the guest appearance by Adam West
