Here’s a great scoop that comes to us from those baguette eating, mime loving, wine drinking fellows across the pond in France. According to the french site Superpouvoir.com Phil Jimenez is going to be taking over Simone Bianchi’s art duties on the Warren Ellis scribed Astonishing X-Men. According to Superpouvoir there will also be a free Jimenez sketchbook available in stores come September when he takes over. It’s also probably worth noting that the news item was taken down promptly after the report was made, and as of this writing the site itself was offline. I think that probably means that our french buddies got their paws on Marvel’s September solicitations before there were supposed to. I guess we’ll have to wait and see, but the smart money is on this report being 100% true.
