Plants Vs. Zombies! PopCap, Why Can’t I Quit You?
I know that some of you may turn up your noses at the thought of casual gaming but there’s some good stuff out there. Take, for instance, the good people over at PopCap Games. They have some pretty creative ideas floating around and most of it is free. And if anything can endear this hobby to your parents, it’s this.
Anyway, I’m not sure how they came up with their newest opus “Plants Vs. Zombies” but hot damn if it doesn’t seem like it’ll be a boat-load of fun. Admittedly, I’m a sucker for stuff like this, growing up with Nintendo as I did (though I skipped the SNES and opted for the way cooler Sega Genesis). Something about these cutesy plants trying to fight off an advancing zombie horde who are themselves cute appeals to me. Despite the cuteness, though, this seems like it’ll be a showdown the likes of which haven’t been seen since the seventies.
