If you’re a Beatles fan there’s no need to keep reading this article. You already suspect what I’m going to tell you. Rockband’s newest iteration is quite frankly a masterpiece. The experience almost transcends the game that presents it. At times it feels like the game is something that is happening to you, not something you’re playing. And I’m not talking about an “it feels like I’m right in the action” dime store experience you can get by sitting too close to a big screen t.v.
The songs are obviously great and a blast to play but where this game is different from other ‘band’ games is the presentation. You really feel like you’re being dragged through the Beatles’ illustrious career. The colours and the animation and the previously unheard audio clips all come together to create a game that no Beatles fan should do without. Oh, and this is the first of this type of game that I actually enjoy watching the on screen band playing. During the later songs the band is literally transported to different locales. During ‘Hello Goodbye’ I could not stop smiling. I don’t want to drone on about a game that if you’re a Beatles fan or a band game fan you should already have plans to pick up so I’ll just say that this is a fantastic experience with a soundtrack that will only get better with age.

I can’t wait until midnight when I get my copy of this game!
This is the game music fans have been waiting for. Beatles and Rock Band are the perfect match; like the Green Lantern and Green Arrow, or John Cassady and variant covers.
It really is like John Cassady and variant covers!
It’s an amazing game. I was actually interviewed by the local newspaper as I stood in line waiting for my copy at the midnight release at our local GameStop. I went home and played through it in about four and a half hours.
How dare either of you mention John Cassady in my presence. Especially you Allan…
I love John Cassaday. The man can only draw one male face and one female face but that’s all right by me because of Union Jack.
Sorry Mike:
“Cassaday rewards us with breathtaking vistas alternating with quiet, wry moments of humanity.”

DUN DUN DUNNNNN
It was an inside joke between Allan and I.
Besides … Of course Joss Whedon is going to speak highly about John Cassady, he did the art in the comic Joss Whedon wrote, what did you think he was going to call him a bag o’dicks?
