Sony Big Shot Teases Big PSP NewsOver at Gamepot.comthey’ve posted a great interview with SCEA’s head hardware honcho John Koller. Koller has some great insights about what Sony’s doing things like dropping the price of the PS2 and staying where they are on the PS3. It’s an interesting read if you’re a Sony fanboy (or girl) but I won’t give you the play by play. Next year when John gives us an exclusive interview you can read it at eatsleepgeek.com. Until then you’ll have to wheel over to gamespot.

There is one thing in the interview that I thought it would only be fair to bring to everybody’s attention though. Despite some heavy hitters that have already been announced or released; Resistance, LBP, Motostorm, Rockband Unplugged, Loco Roco 2, and Patapon 2. The big news from Koller, was that 50-60% of the PSP lineup for 2009 remains unannounced. That of course leaves me to wonder, what could they possibly have left for us.

I’ve thought for a long time that the PSP was the most under rated console on the market. Despite it’s rocky start (if you can call the first 2 years the start) I really think that the last 2 years have provided us with some of not only the best handheld games out there. But some of the best games period. I was already excited about what developers were doing with Sony’s handheld, but knowing that what’s been announced is just a piece of the puzzle has me up and doing the happy dance on my coffee table.

E3 is going to be exciting for everybody, but if you’re a PSP mark it’s really going to be great. I can hardly wait to see what surprises Sony has in store for us this summer.
