As I wait here until I decide to make myself some dinner, I sit and ponder over whether the game Army of Two: 40th Day was any good. My mind starts to play back all that I experienced: the characters, the action, the game itself. My mind is like a filter. I take the information [...]

Oh Marvel Ultimate Alliance the second, I really wanted to like you. You had so much potential what with the whole Civil War thing. But that’s what it boils down to: potential. While I played I couldn’t help but think of the game I could have been playing. Sure, this gameplay has worked in the [...]

Okay folks, if you’ll just indulge me for a second here I’d like to address voice over artists in general and Eliza Dushku specifically: if you’re just going to phone it in, do us all a favour and DON’T. Better yet, if you don’t respect the medium enough to bring your A-game, turn down the [...]

Not five minutes into the game and I was already riding flying dinosaurs and doing battle with zombies and mutants (of my own creation) with a variety of weapons, both conventional and unconventional. When things got too heavy I hopped in my trusty time machine and headed back to medieval times.

It definitely left a positive impression on me but it also left me with a ton of questions: can all classes take cover, or only some? What steps are being [...]

A little bit about me is in order here before I begin: I’m a huge Batman fan. I suppose, then, that it goes without saying that I can’t help but be a little biased in a review of a Batman game. But I can also recognize a terrible fucking Batman game. And brother, this ain’t [...]

According to text that can barely be made out from the above scan (the higher rise original can be checked out at  Rise of Games), we may be seeing Sony’s titular Playstation 3 driving sim by the end of this year.  Apparently, this pamphlet was handed out at GamesCom 2009. An exciting development for folks [...]

EA has been pumping out sports games every year for as long as I can remember. My first experience with EA was back in ‘94 with a little game on the Genesis called NHL ‘94. Since then I have always loved EA sports games (especially the NHL series), and I have tried to play as [...]
