After this week’s gamescon in Cologne, Germany, it’s off to the East this September for Tokyo Game Show organized by CESA. CESA has released a partial list of games expected at the show, with IGN receiving confirmation of Konami’s upcoming PSP title Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker available in playable form. Some developers are absent from the list, including Microsoft, Sony and Square Enix. The partial list includes titles from Tecmo Koei, Level 5, Sega, Acquire and Q Games, with Sega leading the current partial list, set to show anticipated titles Bayonetta and the Valkyria Chronicles, the sequel to last yearès hit tactical role-playing game.
TGS 2009 will feature some of the most anticipated titles of the current console generation, but titles like Undead Knight for the PSP from developer Tecmo Koei could end up becoming a sleeper hit. Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 and Professor Layton and the Flute of Malevolent Destiny will no doubt attract a lot of attention, but I’m looking forward to the PSP title Pixel Junk Monsters Deluxe, an adaptation of last year’s hit Playstation Store title from developer Q Games. Just like everyone else, I’m waiting for some more information on Final Fantasy XIII. Tokyo Game Show will begin on September 24.
