Hi All, remember me? I got a nice little scoop about the Asteroid movie based off of the 1979 arcade game made by Atari. Well, there is more yet to come, in the wide world of wacky Hollywood. It appears that someone is buying up crazy film rights that don’t seem to have any connection, to the wide world of movies. It’s seems like Brad Kane, one of the fine co-producer from the new X-Files- like show “Fringe”, will start working on a Fisher Price View-Master movie, as soon as he’s done working on the script of the new Wolfgang Peterson film Uprising.

I don’t know what people in Hollywood are smoking these days, but it begs the question: “where can I get some and for how much?” Seriously, who in their right mind would look at a toy with which you stick plastic disks in a red binocular-shaped device and peer into  to view stereoscopic 3D picture images, and say “Hey, this would make a great movie!”. The more I think about it, the only reason behind this film is money. Cold, hard cash. Apparently the producers Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci, the team behind the popular Transformers movies and Star Trek, are set to produce the View-Master movie. With all the buzz around 3D movies, one can only assume that this movie will be in 3D, and will be one of those crazy adventure movies for the whole family. I wonder if any of the predictions I made about the other board game-to-movie adaptations might actually come true, or maybe I’m not thinking crazy enough.
