A few weeks back Cool Terry nearly slit his wrists when he heard the news that a new Buffy the Vampire Slayer movie was in the works and that Joss Whedon wasn’t going to be a part of it. I’m sure Cool Terry, or CMFT as he goes by these days (the C and the T are for Cool & Terry, you can only imagine what the M&F are for…it’s what you think it is) wasn’t the only nerd who had a massive geek wedgie over the news either. Whedon’s horde was out in full force over the news, I belive there were riots in LA, and for some unknown reason they decided to boycott Left 4 Dead 2, strange folks those Whedonites.

At any rate he (Joss Whedon not CMFT) addressed the issue at the end of a sit down with Entertainment Weekly about Dollhouse when Whedon had this to say.

I believe [the producers] did ultimately reach out to my agent after the news broke, I think that’s something better left untouched by me. So, I wish them luck.”

It dosn’t exactly sound like they were tripping over themselves to get Whedon involved in the project. Not that it really matters, nerd loyalty runs deep and no matter how great this movie might be, it won’t stand a chance now.
